"@TorGuard Get out of my timeline with your bullshit"

"I couldn't stand Torguard. Speeds were erratic and support was bad. This was a couple of years or so ago. To understand VPNs, you really need to understand that they all lease POP (point of presence) IP from more or less the same suppliers. To add to that these suppliers offer tiers of service which amounts to how much bandwidth is available. How that works is how many individuals are sharing each IP. The fewer these suppliers add to each IP means less income from so these "premium" high bandwidth accounts cost the subscriber more. Also be aware you may be sharing that forward facing IP with s..."

"@OfficialGuyE @thecoastguy TOR's unusable. Foreign VPN (Proton, Mullvad, SurfShark) are recommended. All UK legislation becomes null and void. Just need safe browser (TOR or others) plus burnable email account (ProtonMail) and "private" Social Media accounts. UK Government has lost its shit"

"The ironic thing is you guessed it, how does the front end function for your needs. Remember, with a few twists, these services are all reselling space on the same servers for the most part. Ironically, my first VPN was Torguard for torrent use, it was terrible. You are right, shop for deals they abound with the exception of Mullvad, they never have sales. Great customer service I am told, which is expensive, but that's the only difference."

"Use Tor"

"Personally,I am running Ubuntu with Chromium browser, since Chromium browsers are a lot more secure than Firefox based (Gecko). For privacy, you cant go wrong with Librewolf (Mullvald/Tor If you want to be anonymous). You could install Proton VPN (free, best vpn along with Mullvald vpn) as a extension or app."

"Якщо висока швидкість не треба, то юзайте Tor, він безкоштовний і самий приватний (він нікому навіть не належить) Єдиний мінус: сайти постійно показують капчу."

"For occasional browsing I stopped overthinking it. Tor alone keeps things simple and reliable. Once you add free VPNs into the mix, the experience can quickly become more frustrating than useful."

"I use the TorGuard VPN and its NOT infiltrated by the antiChrist ISISraHELL.... The price is right and it works on WIN7. I know of no other VPN that works on WIN7 but they won't tell you. You are just forced to upgrade if you buy their compromised VPNs.... FYI"

"yeah good point i mainlyuse it for torrents on my server.. I have been thinking about jumping to windscribe. like it doesn't feel out dated like TG apps and thay seem more transparent. . I also have nord but feel the apps are way to bloated with extras"

"Anything is possible to trick/bypass, but sometimes not knowing the underlying technology can be a problem. There was a case of a university student using TOR to make a bomb threat at this university. The Feds knew it came from TOR because it was one of the public exit nodes. They asked the university IT to pull the logs to see if anyone accessed a known TOR public access node. There was one student. He pretty much admitted right away when they started talking to him."

"The question is whether you trust your VPN provider or not. The confusion between "anonymity" and "privacy" is common... Proton VPN knows who you are and where you go (they COULD, they don't but it's on them to be honest). Having your own VPN just protects your privacy. If there's court order, AWS will give them records of your destinations. Granted it's encrypted. But so will Proton VPN. We use VPN to bypass geo blocks and to larp as Americans on X. We use VPN+Tor+burner device+public wifi+tunnel to stay ANONYMOUS"

@michael_kove 2 weeks ago View on Twitter →

"@zeley190555397 @ProtonVPN @AndyMeanie It's the same as Proton and all others. The only one doing differently (no-trust needed) is @obscuravpn. All others are just based on "trust". It's okay anyway depending on what you do, if you need to be anonyme just use Tor, not a VPN."

"Sigh. I feel exactly as you do. When these things started to sink in my mind, I entered panic mode, all I could see was the impending doom and the downwards trend. I started to HATE the politicians and big tech overloads; I would like to slap them till they're dead. However, I do think that you will get used to the current affairs really quick, then rather than worrying about the world ending, you'll just take steps in your life to reduce the surveillance. Remember, the goal isn't 100%, you can already do small things in your life (with minimal amount of buying and effort) that slowly loosen t..."

"Installing Torguard VPN on the TP-link BE3600 (Archer BE230) Anyone have guidance or instructions on how to install Torguard VPN on the BE3600? I have not been able to find anything online. I believe the router supports it, but it is not a default choice."

"Why Your VPN Provider Is Probably Lying About Their "No-Log" Policy (And How to Actually Verify It) "We don't keep logs." Every VPN company says this. It's on their homepage, in their marketing, in their terms of service. It sounds good. It feels safe. It's also almost impossible to verify. And yeah, some of them are definitely lying. \*\*The Problem\*\* "No-log" doesn't mean what people think it means. It doesn't mean they can't see your traffic. It means they \*claim\* they don't store records of it. But here's the thing: you have to trust them. There's no audit, no blockchai..."

"NordVPN does not support port forwarding, which is completely unsuitable for P2P. VPNs that do support port forwarding include: ProtonVPN, AirVPN, Windscribe, PIA, TorGuard, PrivateVPN, PureVPN, etc."

"Well look, OP theres not much you can really do. You are being tracked no matter what site you go to. By your own ISP, by every ISP you have to go through to reach a given site, by your VPN provider (especially the free or cheap ones like windscribe or nord). You can choose to use a VPN, but your ISP will know that you're using a VPN, and you're placing your faith in the VPN provider not to track you. You could use TOR, but thats just a VPN with extra steps if you're not taking extra steps to change your online behaviour"

"@ChrisH75995549 @SomeSillyGoosy @mQLta_TrvstPlQn @Anti_Tyranny_1 @JOKAQARMY1 If you are really that untrusting of proton (even though it’s one of if not the most secure option), you can use a VPN plus tor on a public WiFi with a burner phone, Just don’t expect that to be an easy way to stay secure."

"@TorGuard it's wild how some folks go to such lengths to hide things like they're on a secret mission or something. meanwhile, my life is just a poorly maintained open book. privacy is hard when you can't even keep track of your own passwords, ya know? kinda hilarious in a way"
