Want to feel ancient? Seth MacFarlane’s beloved animated comedy, Family Guy, is currently airing its seventeenth season on Fox. Even after over twenty years in existence, the Griffins’ adventures--moving along in the show’s trademark gag-a-second style--never fail to entertain. By melding character-driven humor with irreverent commentary on current events and cutaway jokes ribbing American popular culture, the show has stayed just as relevant as the day it first aired, way back in 1998.

Chances are you’re familiar with Family Guy at this point, and you either love it or hate it. If you are in the “hate it” camp, then you probably aren’t interested in streaming the show, but if you’re a big fan, there’s a good chance that at least a few episodes that you missed the first time around. Well, lucky for you just about every episode ever is available to stream, all in one place.

Where to Stream Family Guy

Along with the rest of Fox’s animated sitcoms, including Futurama, King of the Hill, and American Dad, Family Guy has recently relocated from Netflix to Hulu. If you don’t already subscribe to the service, this development makes a subscription to Hulu an enticing preposition. All sixteen previously aired seasons of Family Guy are available, with new season seventeen episodes becoming available soon after they broadcast on television. Currently, 317 episodes are available. If you want to stream Family Guy, Hulu is the place to do so.

Hulu costs $7.99 a month with commercials or $11.99 a month for the premium ad-free plan, and comes with a streaming library of thousands of series, including the aforementioned Fox animated shows and a host of others from the major broadcast networks. The one-month free trial sweetens the deal: if you aren’t into the service, or if you finish bingeing all of Family Guy within a month, you can cancel anytime within that period. There’s just one issue for Non-US residents: the service is only available in the US.

Why Use a VPN to Watch Family Guy

If you live outside of the the United States, you’ll need a VPN to stream Family Guy on Hulu. A VPN (virtual private network) is a handy tool that funnels your internet connection through servers around the world using encrypted tunneling. Therefore, regardless of your actual geographical location, with a VPN you’ll be able to enjoy content restricted to particular regions by connecting to servers within the same country. This makes using Hulu as easy as logging on to a US server through a VPN like ExpressVPN before entering the service, no matter if you are in Luxembourg, or Indonesia.

Besides allowing you to bypass geoblocking, VPNs do a lot more for you by rendering your internet connection completely anonymous and secure through strong data encryption. With all of omnipresent cyber threats these days, subscribing to a VPN is a good idea whether or not you need it for streaming services.

How to Purchase Hulu from Outside the U.S.

Hulu presents one more hurdle for non-US residents to jump before accessing their service: non-US debit and credit cards are not accepted as payment for the service. Even if you only want to take advantage of the one month free trial, you’ll still need a form of payment to sign up.

Fortunately, there’s a way around this: Walmart sells Hulu gift cards for $25 or $50 a pop that you can use to sign up for the service. After purchase, they’ll email a code that you input during the sign up process.

How to Stream Family Guy from Outside the US with a VPN

  • Buy a subscription to a top VPN with a large selection of U.S. servers (ExpressVPN is one of the best)
  • Download and install the VPN app on your digital media player or whatever you watch Family Guy on, along with any other device that you surf the web with.

  • After checking that your VPN app is still connected to a US server, go ahead and choose Family Guy from the Hulu catalog and select from over 300 episodes.

The addictive TLC reality show that you didn’t know that you needed, 90 Day Fiancé has a unique premise that places a countdown on the show’s guest couples’ life decisions. Each season follows several engaged couples, one of which is a non-US citizen on a short-term K-1 visa specially for foreign fiancés of US citizens, as they use the 90-day duration of the visa (hence the title) to decide whether to go all the way with the marriage, or not.

In the end, some couples decide to go through with it, while others break it off, but it’s an exciting ride (and frequent trainwreck), either way, totally recommended for anyone drawn to reality shows with unusual, larger-than-life characters in high pressure situations. 90 Day Fiancé has run for six seasons and spawned two spin-offs, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days so there’s huge backlog of episodes to watch once you get hooked.

Where to Stream 90 Day Fiancé

In the dark ages, cord cutters were out of luck if they wanted to stream 90 Day Fiancé. The show’s network, TLC streamed (and continues to stream) episodes of the show on their website, but you need TV provider info to access them. However, in the past year, the streaming service Hulu added 90 Day Fiancé (along with many other TLC shows) to its already extensive streaming library of thousands of series and films.

Hulu costs $7.99 a month with ads, or $11.99 a month for the next level, ad-free option and perhaps even bests Netflix in its library of contemporary series from major broadcast and cable networks, if not in original programming. If you end up loving 90 Day Fiancé, there’s a ton more like it on Hulu.

Why Use a VPN to Watch 90 Day Fiancé

While Hulu may seem like a great deal, there’s one big roadblock many will have to deal with before streaming content on the service: it’s technically only available in the US. I say technically because there’s workaround that is cheap and doesn’t take much effort: a VPN.

A VPN (virtual private network) is an excellent web tool that routes your connection through servers scattered across the world, granting you a local IP address and allowing you to view content exclusive to that particular country. To watch 90 Day Fiancé from outside the US, all you need to do is log on to a US server before using Hulu, and you won’t experience any issues. VPNs also come equipped with great security features like data encryption, split tunneling and an automatic kill switch that render you hacker-proof and protect you from other bad actors on the web.

How to Purchase Hulu from Outside the U.S.

But wait, there’s one more concern for those hoping to stream 90 Day Fiancé on Hulu from outside the US: the service only accepts US debit and credit cards as forms of payment.

Don’t worry, though, there’s a solution to this dilemma, too. Walmart sells $25 and $50 Hulu gift cards through their website that you can use to pay for the service. They’ll send you a code via email that you can use during the subscription process. Just one of those $25 cards will pay for three months of subscription, and don’t forget: the first month is free.

How to Watch 90 Day Fiancé from Outside the US with a VPN

  • Purchase a subscription to a choice VPN with a plenty of U.S. servers (ExpressVPN is our top choice)
  • Download and install the VPN client on the device you prefer to stream television on (as well as every other device).
  • Through the VPN, client, connect to a US server.
  • Surf over to to the Hulu website and buy a subscription. Those without a US credit or debit card will need to grab one of those Walmart gift cards to pay for it.
  • Download and install Hulu on all of your compatible devices, unless you prefer to stream shows on your PC or laptop. In that case, you can just head to the Hulu website.
  • Making sure that your VPN client is connected to a US server, enter Hulu and dive into  90 Day Fiancé (followed by 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days).

Supported Devices

  • VPNs are compatible with just about everything you throw at them: iOS and Android phones/tablets, digital streaming devices, video game consoles, and certain types of TVs like LG and Samsung models. Compatibility varies from one VPN to another, so double check each VPN’s list to find out which ones support your devices. .
  • The Hulu app is available for Apple TV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire tablets, Fire TV, IPhone, Ipad, Mac and PC Browsers, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 3 & 4, Xbox 360 & One, Roku and select models of LG Samsung TVs. Check the complete list here.

Game of Thrones is a medieval fantasy epic on HBO based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling novel series “A Song of Ice and Fire.” In 2016, the show created history by winning 12 Primetime Emmy Awards, making it the most popular TV show of all time.

With a massive viewership of over 25 million viewers, people around the world are eagerly waiting for its next season, which is expected to premiere in the coming months. As the war between Daenerys Targaryen and the Witch King is imminent, fans are already trying to figure out the possible endings the show may have.

Regardless of any number of twists in the storyline, the upcoming season is sure to be colossal in terms of intensity, excitement, and action. With various streaming services available to viewers, it’s important to know how you can stream your choice of episodes from anywhere in the world.

Why Use a VPN to Stream Game of Thrones

The official online streaming service of Game of Thrones is provided by HBO Now, which is only available in the US. As such, whenever you try to stream content from the HBO Now service from anywhere else, the app recognizes your physical location through your IP address and prevents you from streaming it, even if you have a paid subscription to the service.

Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) create a private tunnel to the Internet, which prohibits third parties from accessing your data and discovering your identity. They can evade any location-based restrictions by changing your current IP address to an IP address from an allowed country, which in this case, is the United States.

VPNs offer a great solution to stream geo-locked content from anywhere in the world, which means you can stream Game of Thrones from anywhere in the world, provided you have an Internet connection.

How to Watch Game of Thrones Online

If you’re in the United States, you can easily watch Game of Thrones by using HBO’s signature online streaming service, HBO Now. It offers complete access to all previous seasons of Game of Thrones, with multi-platform support for Android, iOS and Windows users.

For non-US viewers, HBO Now is geo-locked and prevents any content from being streamed directly.

This means you may have to find a specific streaming partner of Game of Thrones in your country (HotStar in India, FoxTel in Australia, and OCS in Europe). This can prove to be quite challenging since the Game of Thrones streaming service is not consistently available around the world.

Another way to stream Game of Thrones outside the US is by using a VPN service, which can easily bypass a geo-block by masking your IP address with a click-of-a-button.

How to Use a VPN to Watch Game of Thrones

To begin streaming your favorite Game of Thrones episodes, you’ll need to follow a few simple steps, which are outlined below:

  • Sign up for a VPN
  • Install the VPN client on your device
  • Log in to your account
  • Choose any server from the US
  • Click on Connect
  • Open your HBO Now account
  • Select the episode of your choice
  • Begin streaming

How to Select the Best VPN to Stream Game of Thrones

Using a VPN to seamlessly stream your favorite Game of Thrones episode is easy. Unfortunately, however, there are a lot of VPNs available, and they aren’t all created equal.  When evaluating your options, keep the following in mind:

  • Bandwidth – VPN’s with bandwidth limitations are a deal breaker. Look for a VPN that has no restrictions on the monthly usage of bandwidth to ensure high-quality viewing.
  • Compatibility – Compatibility is important, especially if you use a variety of devices for streaming online videos. If you do, it’s important that your VPN support all the devices that you regularly use.
  • Speed – Long buffering times and delays can ruin your viewing experience. As such, you’ll want to select a VPN that offers fast speeds to ensure interruption-free viewing with minimal buffering.
  • Servers – The VPN you select should have a wide-range of servers located in different regions of the world, including the United States.
  • A No Logs Policy – One of the primary reasons people use a VPN is to ensure the anonymity of activity online. A VPN that records your Internet activity defeats this purpose all together.

What to Expect from the Upcoming 8th Season of Game of Thrones?

The upcoming season of the Game of Thrones will be released in April 2019 on HBO, and will be available on HBO Now for online streaming. As one of the most watched TV shows on the planet, it has kept its fans reeling on what to expect from its 8th – and final – season.

The Game of Thrones series is nearing towards an epic end. The Long Night is already ahead of us, and HBO is spending top dollar to guarantee the greatest season ever. Fox’s compelling, addicting musical drama Empire offers up something rare in primetime network television: a series with a majority black cast in a vibrant, hip-hop industry setting. Focused on a powerful hip-hop mogul named Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) who heads Empire Entertainment, a successful record label, that comes down with a life-threatening illness and must choose one of his three sons as his successor. Complicating things is the return of Lyon’s wife, Cookie Lyon, from a 17-year prison sentence for drug dealing and now looking to reclaim her piece of the pie.

Not all is what it seems on Empire, and as the show goes on, more is revealed of the main characters complicated, shady pasts that explains how they got where they ended up, and old choices come back to haunt their present selves. Over five seasons, power struggles and personal issues test the characters and threaten the ultimate fate of Empire Entertainment. Once you begin the series, you’ll be glued to your screen to find out what happens next.

Where to Stream Empire

You can stream the nine episodes of season five of Empire that have already aired here on the Fox website, but the only place to stream every season is on Hulu. Hulu is the #2 streaming service behind Netflix and offers thousands upon thousands of series from major networks, as well as a wide library of films from every genre. The service runs for $7.99 a month with commercials, or $11.99 for the ad-free premium plan, and comes with a one-month free trial.

Along with Empire, Hulu is the best place to stream the latest episodes from ABC, NBC and Fox series and is all-in-all a great deal. The one issue many will have is that it is currently only available in the United States.

Why Use a VPN to Watch Empire

If you live outside the US, pesky regional restrictions will prevent you from bingeing Empire on Hulu. That is, unless you subscribe to a VPN. A VPN (virtual private network) allows to run your internet connection through private servers around the world, making it seem as if you are logging on from within that country, bypassing annoying geoblocking on websites and streaming services. For the purpose of streaming Empire from outside the states, that means connecting to a US server via your VPN before subscribing to and using Hulu, during which you’ll have no problem using the service.

In addition to this very useful feature, VPNs also offer top-end internet security by means of data encryption and user anonymity that veil your browsing and protect you from threats on the internet.

How to Purchase Hulu from Outside the U.S.

The next challenge for Hulu hopefuls outside of the US is paying for the service, as it only takes US credit and debit cards as payment options. If you’re an American temporarily living abroad this shouldn’t be a concern, although everyone else might have a problem obtaining one.

Luckily for you there’s a simple workaround: Walmart sells $25 and $50 Hulu gift cards through their website for use in paying for the service. Once you buy the card online, Walmart will email a code that you can use during the Hulu signup process. Not so hard, huh?

How to Watch Empire from Outside the US with a VPN

  • Buy a subscription to a top VPN with a large selection of U.S. servers (our favorite is ExpressVPN)
  • Download and install the VPN app on your digital media player, tablet or any other device where you’ll be watching Empire.
  • Connect to a server within the United States using the VPN app.
  • Go to the Hulu website and sign up. If you don’t have a US credit or debit card, be sure to buy a Hulu gift card from Walmart to complete the subscription.
  • Download and install Hulu on the devices you stream media on, or head to the Hulu website if your PC or laptop is how you watch television.
  • After checking that your VPN app is still connected to a US server, enter Hulu and chose Empire from the Hulu library, beginning with season 1, or where ever you left off.

Supported Devices

  • Any VPN worth its salt will offer compatibility for iOS and Android phones/tablets, digital streaming devices, video game consoles, and select models of TVs such as LG TV and Samsung models. Check each individual VPN’s list of supported devices to be sure your device is included.
  • Hulu has a wide range of compatibility, offering an app for many devices, including Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, IPhone, Ipad, Mac and PC Browsers, Blu-Ray players, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 3 & 4, Xbox 360 & One, and select models of LG Samsung TVs. Check the full list here.

In the past few years, superheroes have moved beyond the silver screen and into television, and one of the best of these shows is CW’s Supergirl. At the outset, the titular hero, (Melissa Benoist), one of the few remaining Kryptonians and cousin to Superman, is sent in a spacecraft to Earth to help protect her more famous relative before thrown off trajectory into the notorious Phantom Zone. Eventually, Kara Zor-El (her kryptonian given name) escapes and arrives at her intended destination, and it’s not long before she dons the cape and “Supergirl” moniker, defending her adopted home, National City, from criminals and evil doers.

Because it doesn’t take itself too seriously --more than anything-- Supergirl is a lot of fun to watch. In a genre dominated by muscle-bound masculinity, a show starring a heroine, and featuring many women supporting characters and villains is refreshing. A great aspect of the show for comics fans is the many appearances by relatives of well-known Superman characters, such as the mother and stepdaughter of Lex Luthor (Lillian and Lena, respectively), as well as the prominence of underappreciated DC heroes like Martian Manhunter. Supergirl is part of the Arrowverse television universe, so crossovers with the Flash, Green Arrow, and other characters that have their own shows happen often and add depth to the show’s universe.

While there’s been a barrage of superheroes in media, recently, Supergirl stands out from the rest and it’s definitely worth streaming if you’re at all a fan of the genre.

Where to Stream Supergirl

Supergirl is available to stream on two main sources: The CW Network’s website, with ads, or on Netflix, ad-free. Streaming the show on The CW Network’s site is free, and doesn’t require you to put in TV provider information, as many networks’ websites do, but you’ll have to contend with annoying interruptions.

Streaming Supergirl on Netflix is ad-free and presented in glorious HD. The service costs $11 a month (with an expected price hike to $13 a month coming) for the most popular plan that allows for two different devices streaming simultaneously, although prices vary outside the US.

Which option you choose to stream Supergirl will depend upon whether you’re willing to foot the bill for Netflix, although considering the wealth of content available through the top streaming service, worldwide, that is the one we recommend. However, depending on where you live in the world, both options may pose some issues.

Why Use a VPN to Watch Supergirl

If you live outside the United States, streaming Supergirl could get a little difficult. Watching Supergirl on the The CW Network website is only available to those inside the US, and nowhere else, and since the Netflix library varies from country to country, many local libraries do not have the show available.

Regardless of whether you wish to stream Supergirl on the The CW Network, or watch it on Netflix but have found that it isn’t carried in your nation’s library, subscribing to a VPN will solve the problem.

A VPN (virtual private network) works by routing your internet connection through servers around the world, granting you a local IP address in the country in which the server is located and allowing you to bypass annoying geoblocking.

This means that by subscribing to an excellent VPN like ExpressVPN, you can use their client to connect to a server in the United States, and

  1. The restriction on viewing Supergirl on the CW network will be lifted.
  2. You will be be granted access to the US Netflix library, no matter where you are logging in from.

VPNs also offer a lot of online protection by encrypting your data and rendering your connection anonymous, shielding you from nosy ISPs and internet bad actors like hackers and identity thieves.
